You have made the decision to paint. Now you have to choose a paint color for your home. We know it can be intimidating with so many options available, so we have put together some tips to help find the right color for you.
If you are planning on selling your home try to stick with neutrals like off white, gray, or beige. Less is more when it comes to painting for resale.
If you have recently purchased a new home or are just ready for a refresh, first think about how you want the space to feel. If you want it to feel light and airy choose cool colors like a light blue or soft green. Grays can pull blue as well, so a light gray with a hint of blue would be a perfect match. If you prefer warm and cozy choose warm colors like tan or Greige (Gray mixed with beige) and/or a deep wine accent wall.
Next, look at your furniture, drapes, flooring, and decorations. You can pick up a color out of any of these elements to create a cohesive color palette.
Remember to look at your color choices at different times of the day as the lighting will change and can also change the way you see the color. Always buy color samples and utilize your local paint store with any color questions. You can check out their websites for the most popular color choices, color visualizers and tips and trick for finding your perfect paint color.
